Abstract

The paper analyses guidelines on the evaluation of the nomenclature of testing methods employed by the army’s medical control on the daily basis as well as modern techniques used in the civilian sphere which could be applied by the medical control of the Russian Armed Forces in order to improve its effectiveness. It was established that simplicity of a technique can serve as an independent criterion for its selection. Other criteria should be a wide range of applications, high accuracy of the results and rapidity. Using these criteria, one can bring forward reasoned proposals for inclusion of certain new methods in the mandatory nomenclature or substantiate the preservation of the current methodology in the new edition of the “Guidelines for the Medical Service of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation During Peacetime”.
