Lomonosov (Arkhangelsk, Russia) AbstractThe article presents the results of the monitoring of the drug abuse situation in the educational environment of the Arkhangelsk Region. The research, carried out in February 2013, involved 4,370 pupils aged 14–23 years. It revealed that the use of psychoactive substances (PAS) among pupils remains a major problem with a clear trend towards year-over-year growth in the number of PAS users. The problem of early onset of substance abuse (from 13 years on the average) is still urgent. Increased use of so-called smoking blends (“spice” and “mix”) by pupils is observed.Keywordspsychoactive substances, tobacco smoking, alcohol, drugs, volatile solvents, pupils and students, Arkhangelsk Region, monitoring.References
