Abstract

The article presents characteristics of behaviour and emotional manifestations in children and adolescents with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. These children show excessive emotional reaction, touchiness, increased anxiety and aggression. They are characterized by a lower level of social maturity as compared to their peers. Abnormalities in social relationships with adults are observed. Adverse behavioral manifestations and emotional imbalance complicate the syndrome, while positive emotional reinforcement is essential for behavioral skills to develop.
